Let’s say you have CryEngine. You still can’t create and sell games legally with it. You CAN with UDK, because it’s not just an editor or something. You can give them a percentage of your income as a license. No loss.

Do you actually compare CryEngine2 with UDK? That’s like saying a clock is better than a lamp, or something. UDK is for creating games to be sold. CryEngine2 is just some level designer for Crysis. UDK is worth money, CryEngine2 is not (If it is, then a very small amount).

Try reinstall. And sometimes you have to run it as admin. ANd check for a Desktop Link to the UDK, I’m not sure if the UDK.exe is the right starter.
