discuss the effect of class in the development of a modern american society?

Posted by admin on February 26th, 2010 and filed under class development | 2 Comments »

this question is impossible, no real books that help with it so hopefully someone on here can help.

Plenty of books. Class is a concept of conflict structuralism – Marx. Marx believed class conflict was the basis of society. USA often regards itself as a classless society but plenty of evidence to the contrary. The plight of African Americans is one. A friend told me once why Bill Clinton was so hated by his opponents. He was the poorest man ever to become President of USA so there is a class overlay there. Look at news reporting is it different for the various socio-economic groups? Lots in that one

When starting off in property development, what is the best area to target- middle class or working class?

Posted by admin on February 24th, 2010 and filed under class development | 6 Comments »

Ok I can afford to go either way and I know that I would probably make slightly higher profit on the middle class market but it is my first time property developing so Im not sure whether to go working class to minimise loss.

target the ones with no jobs or credit, they will pay the most in down payments and have no money to get legal help so they can be taken advantage of the easiest in the search for buying a house

project ideas for my child development class?

Posted by admin on February 22nd, 2010 and filed under class development | 2 Comments »

ok so we r doing this toddler project (ages 1-3) and the teacher said we have to think of something artsy or fun that the toddler would like to play with. we also have to right a paper about how it helps build on their intellectual or physical development. it has to be creative and not too complicated and i have no creativity so any help??

example: creating a matching game with colors and textures

Take the label off, wash and dry 2 liter pop bottles. Put in a different color of tissue paper (or whatever type of paper you want) into each one. Have the children roll a ball (bowling) and knock them over. Reinforce colors at the same time. You can also have children rip/tear a certain color each day and then have them help you fill the bottle with the torn paper. (Fine motor development and they love to play with things they have "helped" with.)

Have the children help you put a piece of construction paper inside of an oatmeal canister. Have them choose 2 primary colors of paint and use marbles (or plastic golf balls-bigger in size) in the paint with a spoon and dump them both into the canister. Roll it back and forth with the child (or have two children roll it)…take it out and discuss the design, the two colors and the THIRD color that was made by mixing the first 2.

Have fun!

The Complete Resource book for Toddlers and Twos by Pam Schiller is probably at your local library or you can probably interlibrary loan it from them. A whole passle of ideas for you!

openBVE – Class 323 3D Cab, Interior, and Watford Junction to Rugby

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under class development | 18 Comments »

Please click the “HD” button below the video for the *best* quality, or add &fmt=18 to the end of the URL in your address bar and hit Enter, for the high quality version. I recommend viewing full screen, due to some night time shots featured.

In this video, you’ll see a demonstration of the new 3D cab functionality now available in the development branch of the licence-free openBVE simulator (but please note that the development branch is intended for developers primarily). The new 323 interior details can also be seen demonstrated in openBVE v1.0.7.2 (the stable branch intended for the general public), along with some high resolution video of the Watford Junction to Rugby route with actual sounds rather than music this time. ;-)

New animated features in the 3D cab currently include working reverser, combined traction/brake controller and horn lever, speedometer and brake gauges, working safety system indicators, cab lighting, and experimental headlight effects.

* Please read my associated blog entry for a caveat regarding the headlight idea… http://railsimroutes.net/blog/?p=885

The 323 interior features seats, working TV screens, animated window raindrop effects, working carriage lighting, and ground illumination from both the windows and pantograph sparking, visible in the dark.

The exterior view now includes inmproved door closing animation, and the Cross-City South route also includes new 3D trees, bushes and hedges, as well as on-train conductor’s announcements and alternative Birmingham New Street station announcements, which will be released into the public domain along with Cross-City South v1.4, thanks to voice recording artist Pete Kingwell: http://www.petekingwell.com

The Watford Junction to Rugby route now runs at quite usable framerates thanks to the performance improvements introduced with openBVE v1.0.7, and this route is demonstrated here in high resolution. You’ll also see the enhanced signal lighting effects now in use on the route.

To find out more about the openBVE project, 3D cab support and the animated object format, please visit the official homepage and forum at http://openbve.trainsimcentral.co.uk

For more information and to keep up-to-date with the development of both the Cross-City South and Watford Junction to Rugby routes, please read my blog at http://railsimroutes.net/blog/

The class 323 is a joint effort between myself and Trainsimcentral: http://www.trainsimcentral.co.uk

What factors brought about the development of American Middle class?

Posted by admin on February 20th, 2010 and filed under class development | 4 Comments »

I love short answers. Here is mine:

The middle class was created by FREE ENTERPRISE.

Instead, as in many countries where large businesses ran the country, America allowed anyone with $200 to set up shop and, using his own ingenuity, male and sell his product. e. Fred Woolworth with one horse and wagon, Walton with one Walmart store, McDonald with
one hamburg joint.. Only in AMERICA !

Help (child development class)’Baby think it over’ wont take the breastfeeding patch!!?***More info***?

Posted by admin on February 18th, 2010 and filed under class development | 5 Comments »

For my child development class I have the fake baby and someone lost the bottle for "Baby think it over’ so my teacher gave me the breastfeeding patch and the baby wont take it I have him for the weekend any tips on how to use the patch or what i should do?
I put this in adolescents because I know teens come here and I thought they may be able to help

The breast feeding clip has the same polarity as the bottle. If the baby does not communicate with the clip, it sounds like the sensor in the mouth isn’t working. You will be unable to feed the baby. Hope you know how to turn the baby off until school re-opens. Best wishes!
