Prof. Esther Duflo (MIT) delivers the first Calvó-Armengol Prize Lecture, “Gender equality and development,” in Barcelona. Prof. Duflo is the inaugural winner of the Calvó-Armengol International Prize, established in memory of Prof. Antoni Calvó-Armengol (ICREA-UAB and Barcelona GSE) by the Barcelona GSE in cooperation with the Andorran Government and the Crèdit Andorrà Foundation. The Prize is awarded every two years to a top researcher in economics or social sciences younger than 40 years old for his or her contribution to the theory and comprehension of the mechanisms of social interaction. The speaker is Mr Kyriacos Tsioupras, a long-standing journalist who was editor of a London Greek Cypriot Newspaper, Parikiaki, and is currently correspondent for Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and the Cyprus News Agency. He is introduced by historian Prof. Robert Holland.

Please I need a good answer

post-pubescent boys get more competitive than pre-pubescent boys- from the new testosterone infused into their systems

collegiate sports are more competitive than high school sports because now the women are actually watching, and are more likely to put out- there’s a whole bunch of studies that have shown that men playing by themselves are friendly, but put a woman there to watch and then they all get super competitive

but, in high school people do sports for the greater good- they play for their school, whereas people playing in college that aren’t NCAA athletes, aren’t really playing for anything- just bragging rights, which isn’t as great of an incentive as playing for your school

but still, woman is a greater motivator than school pride, hence collegiate sports winning

How much technical knowledge should a Business development head possess, in research and rating industry?

My friend is trying for a job of Head-Business Development in research and rating industry. He has 10+ years experience. He has done MBA in finance and marketing. But he graduated from Arts background. Should he undergo some other technical(finance related) training also, in order to make the CV more attractive?

Believe me or not it seems to be good that you one have so many things in one’s c.v.
But the thing is that if one cant apply those thing in the practical field then it all goes in smoke.
So its better to start working on some of the marketing project or start up with some bank job

Is learning python worth my time and why?

I am 15. I already do web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, etc…). I was introduced to C++ and Visual Basic but never had the time to finish. I will be studying off of MIT Lectures that have been uploaded to YouTube.
Perhaps my intention is to learn as much programming languages as possible?

I am 14 and i know a great deal of python html php batch ruby c and others. I believe python is worth learning it has potential to be an operating system and other useful tools so yea give it a shot it can’t hurt.
