I am a child development and family studies major. I am planning to open my own daycare but I am not sure what I should minor in whether it be business, communication, or something else.

business would probably be smarter, however those classes are EXTREMELY boring. Just research the stuff you need to know, contact people with business degrees get their opinions.

    Minor in Psychology.

I think it would help out a lot. You’ll be able to recognize signs in the children that show … whatever the signs lead to, Molestation, abuse, autism, ADD, ect… Also, it will help you understand people, so you get some communication in there. And when you’ll be wiser to resolving issues. Angry kids… Angry parents…
Honestly I think psychology is a good minor for anyone, because it is always extremely helpful to understand other people, especially when you are trying to run your own business.
Psychology should open your eyes to empathy, and also show you a different view of personalities, and reactions.
Perhaps be able to predict a parent’s actions or child’s.
